GENERAL SUMMARY

Assist Pricing Supervisor/Director and other Pricing staff in preparation of proposals and bids associated with Vehicles, Spare Parts, and labor.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist Pricing Supervisor/Director and other Pricing staff in preparation of proposals and bids associated with Vehicles, Spare Parts, and labor.
  • Evaluate US Government and International Solicitations on spare parts and determine pricing requirements.
  • Ability to work with multiple organizations in development of pricing strategy to support submittal of compliant bid.
  • Apply knowledge of FAR/CAS/AMG Disclosure statement to ensure compliance in pricing.
  • Participate in Integrated Product Teams. Assist in maintenance of various price lists.
  • Assist Pricing department in gathering data for competitive analysis on various bids and proposals via systems such as Lamlinks. Utilize AM General Business Operating Systems, SAP/Propricer to input, retrieve, and analyze, and use data in development of pricing.
  • Prepare Excel worksheets to facilitate understanding/decision making by other Group Members.
  • Attend training courses as required to further enhance knowledge/awareness of government compliance.
  • Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information.
  • Contribute and adhere to company corporate goals.
  • Other departmental duties and ad hoc analysis as assigned.

EDUCATION & SKILLS

  • Bachelor’s degree with one to three years of relevant cost, pricing, and/or finance experience.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office, databases, and information systems, SAP experience preferred.
  • Good understanding of research methods and data analysis techniques.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively both written and verbal.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Ability to work independently and with others.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Extremely organized with strong-time management skills.

PHYSICAL EFFORTS

  • While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. 
  • The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls. 
  • The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. 
  • The employee must occasionally lift and or move objects up to 25 pounds. 
  • Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision and the ability to adjust focus.

WORKING CONDITIONS

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routine uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copiers/scanning, fax machines, and file cabinets.

TRAVEL

Up to 25% travel may be required.
